How to Ensure Your Burial Is Environmentally Friendly
Use Greener Cremation Practices
Anders-Rice Funeral Home reduces environmental impact by operating our own on-site crematory, eliminating the need for transport to an off-site facility. We are inspected annually by the Buncombe County Clean Air Agency to ensure optimal efficiency and minimal emissions. We also commit to voluntary annual inspections by the crematory manufacturer to ensure our crematory runs at peak efficiency.
We also offer eco-friendly, biodegradable urns, such as the Devotion Urn, which we keep in stock.

We also welcome local individuals who make green caskets and urns to reach out to us to
discuss making locally-made products available to our families.
