For three generations our family has served thousands of Western North Carolina families in in their time of need and we are honored of the confidence they have entrusted in us. Since the founding of Anders-Rice Funeral Home & Cremation Center in 1937 we have maintained consistent, helpful service throughout the many changes that have occured over the years in our industry.

We continually strive to offer the most up-to-date sources of information to keep you informed. Anders-Rice is conveniently located in Asheville with quick access to Highways 40, 240, and 26. Our spacious facilities incude viewing rooms and a beautiful chapel, weather protected drive through and abundant off street parking. Anders-Rice is not part of a distant corporation but is a local family owned business. We offer complete at-need end of life services including Traditional, Non-Traditional, Transportation, Body Donation Services and on-site Cremation. We also provide pre-need planning and pride ourselves on providing open, honest consultation regarding personal and financial advice. We encourage you to seek end of life planning in advance. Decisions are made with more clarity when not obscured by the emotions that come with the end of a life.

Anders-Rice conveniently offers Burial Insurance through a complete Burial Insurance Agency located within our office through Investor's Heritage Life Insurance Co. We even offer a drive through window for the purpose of making monthly payments.

We have Full Time Licensed Funeral Directors, Embalmers, Certified Cremation Technicians, Life Insurance Agents, Beauticians, Cosmetologist, Ministers and Clergy on our staff to meet every need.

Welcome to our new 2008 Website. Over the past 30 years I have been asked many questions about our services and the process surrounding final arrangements. This column will serve to provide answers to those inquiries as well as providing helpful information. Will we be updating this article monthly covering subjects such as Veteran's death benefits, different types of vaults, etc., so be sure to check back and see "what's new".

Just an update and note of appreciation for all of you that have been asking about my Dad.

As of January 14th he has been at Aston Park Health Care Center's Alzheimer's Wing. As many of you have experienced and can relate to it has been a difficult transition for our family as Mom has cared for Dad at home for the past 9 years.

However, with the 24 hour a day attention, love and respect he so deserves and receives and with our family's dailey visits, we are well pleased and know he is receiving the best of care.

On behalf of my Father and all of our family we want you to know how much we appreciate your love, friendship and prayers.
