William Wayne Duncan Sr.

Asheville - William Wayne Duncan, Sr., 83, of 2077 Wilson Rd. died Thursday, December 4, 2003 at the VA Medical Center, Asheville. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Harrison Clarence and Maude Myers Duncan. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during WW II. Surviving are his daughters, Linda Joyce Buckner and husband Roger of Weaverville, Patricia Hastings of Asheville, and Kathy Melton and husband Bruce of Everett, WA; sons, William Duncan, Jr. and wife Judith of Asheville, and Benjamin Clarence Duncan of Leicester; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain, NC. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
