William Terrance "Terry" Lackey

William Terrance Lackey, 73, of Leicester, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at his residence. A native of Madison County he resided in Buncombe County since 1958, and was the son of the late Willaim Samuel Lackey, Jr. and Vergie Collins Lackey. He retired from NYPRO, where he had served for 33 years, and was a longtime member of Corinth Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Peggy of the home; children: Duwayne Lackey, Darren Lackey, Karen Lytle, Dewayne Earley, Allen Earley and Sonya Earley; grandchildren: Preston Fox, Brittney Buckner, Kayden Earley and Knixen Lackey; sister, Patricia Rutledge; brothers: Ronnie Lackey, Jim Lackey, and Walter Lackey; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Friday, June 13, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
