Vicky Margaret Hollifield Rodgers

Vicky Margaret Hollifield Rodgers, 56, of Asheville, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at her residence. A native of Graham County, NC, she had resided in Buncombe County for the past 24 years. She was a daughter of the late Richard Hollifield and Margie Hooper Hollifield. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ricky Rodgers who passed away July 12, 2013. Vicky worked as a nurse for various nursing homes in Western North Carolina, including the Baptist Home and most recently Pisgah Manor. She enjoyed nursing, listening to music, and playing video games. Vicky is survived by her sisters: Ellen Goforth and husband Ed of Asheville, and Teresa Poor and husband Ronald of Sylva; brother, David Hollifield and wife Cynthia of Kings Mountain; niece, April Ross; and nephews: Jason Brennan, Calvin Hollifield, and Travis Hollifield. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, 1428 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC, with Rev. Eddie Hollifield officiating.
