Thomas Wayne "Tommy" Webb

Asheville - Thomas Wayne Tommy Webb, 58, of 272 Riverview Church Road, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and resident of most of his life of Buncombe County, he had resided in Ypsilanti, MI for five years where he met his loving wife of 24 years, Judy. He, along with his wife, are the owner and operators of T&Js Auto Service. Tommy was a former racecar driver in the ARCA Series, and an avid NASCAR fan. He was the son of Charlene Moss Webb of Asheville and the late Cecil Webb. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Judy Kay Webb, whom he married April 9, 1983; son, Burke Webb of Hickory; daughters, Carolyn Jean Vanstory of Troutman and Leia Nicole Webb of Asheville; three grandchildren, Dalton, Taylor and Landon; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Norma Zimmerman; sisters: Carolyn Jean Burns (Sam) of Asheville and Margo Elaine Nelson of Black Mountain; brothers, Larry Cecil Webb (Denise) of Dundee, MI and Ralph Edward Webb (Jean) of Gainesville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor James Stewart and Pastor Doug Ballew officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Ronald Bradley, Grant Redman, Gerald Bailey, Mark Springsteen, Rick McCall, and Eric Strange. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
