Ronnie Buckner

Weaverville David Ronald Ronnie Buckner, 70, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and resident of Madison County, Mr. Buckner retired from Square D and Thermal Fischer. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, and will be remembered as a loving family man, who adored his grandchildren. Mr. Buckner was the son of the late Nick and Evelyn Allen Buckner. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Clara Burrell. Surviving are his sons: Shane Buckner (Melanie) and Wayne Buckner; grandchildren: Dylan, Xavier, and Cedrick Buckner; sister, Geraldine Waldrop; brother, Nick Buckner; and several nieces and nephews, including great-nephew Willie Buckner. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Larry Sprouse and Rev. Kevin Raby officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 10:50 AM Saturday at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the Buckner family.
