Ron Silvers

Ronald “Ron” Earl Silvers, 67, passed away on Saturday, July 5th,2025, at Mission Hospital.

A native of Asheville, he was a son of the late Woodrow Silvers and Ruby Picklesimer Silvers. He was also preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life for 40 years, Joan Baker Silvers; and grandson, Noah Silvers.

Ron was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his friends in the High-Country Cowboys club. Ron worked for Piedmont Truck Tire for over 35 years until his retirement.

Surviving are his children: Jeremy Ronald Silvers and Pamela Sprinkle; grandchildren: Jessica Honeycutt and husband Nathan, and Nathan Troutman and wife Kristin; great-grandchildren: Haley and Rylee; sister, Rose Havenite; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church, 718 Haywood Rd, Asheville, NC 28806, with pastor Branton Burleson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery with Pastor Allen Rash Officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 till 2 PM at the church prior to the service.
