Penny Beaver Masters, 58, of Leicester, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ellen Beaver, and brother Gary Maney.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband and soulmate of 10 years, Jeffrey Masters. Sister Darlene, who she loved to the moon and back, her husband Jon Ponder, and nephew Reilly Ponder who she adored. Her father and mother-in-law, Frank and Pat Masters; aunts Hope Robinson, Opal Smith, and Ruby Robinson; and many beloved cousins and a multitude of dear friends.
Penny was a dedicated wife to Jeff who she loved with all her heart. Being his wife was the greatest joy in her life. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and was a good and faithful servant of the Lord. Her gift of encouragement, kindness and compassion was extended to many. As a nurse, she dedicated her life to caring for others. She loved on children at Mountain Area Pediatrics and helped many others through her work at Mountain Kidney and Hypertension.
Penny enjoyed camping, traveling, riding around in the car and swinging with Jeff at the fire pit he made especially for her. She also liked to craft, do puzzles, read and watch Hallmark movies.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 3:30 pm at Anders-Rice Funeral Home, the family will begin receiving friends at 2:00 pm. The Revs. Doug Guy, Allen Rash and David Rogers will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Black Mountain Home for Children, an organization close to Penny’s heart.
