Patricia Ann Corbin Hartle, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Arden, North Carolina, just days shy of her 72nd birthday. Born on August 30, 1953, in Oil City Pennsylvania, Patricia was a beacon of light for those around her.
As a dedicated pre-school teacher, Patricia devoted her life to nurturing the minds and hearts of young children. Her passion for education was matched only by her love for the color purple and elephants, symbols that reflected her vibrant spirit and compassion. Known for her boundless energy and warmth, Patricia touched countless lives during her teaching career, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Patricia's family was of utmost importance to her. She is survived by her children: John Hartle and wife Virginia, Thomas Hartle and wife Lori, and Michelle Hartle and husband Ronnie, who will carry on her legacy of love and kindness. Her love extended further to her grandchildren: Ashley Livingston, Elizabeth Carpenter and husband Caleb, Amber Hartle, Brandon Hartle and wife Allysha, Johnathan Knox, Tiffany Constance and husband Jimmy, Joshua Knox, and Cooper Hartle. Patricia also took immense joy in her role as a great-grandmother to Samuel Hartle, Bella Constance, Kyng Livingston, Bentley Constance, and Amelia Reynolds, as well as anticipating the arrival of her newest great-grandchild, Baby Girl Constance, due in December 2025.
Patricia is also survived by her sisters: Karen Cup and husband Gary, Susan Fluekerzi and husband Bruce, alongside her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Corbin and Lorraine Corbin; and brother-in-law, Ted White. The bonds she formed with her many nieces, nephews, and extended family speak volumes of the love and joy she brought into their lives.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William Harry Corbin, Sr. and Eleanor Mae Gibson Corbin; her husband John Richard Hartle, Sr.; and her brothers: Robert Corbin, Charles Corbin, William Corbin, Jr., and James Corbin; and sister, Barbara White.
Patricia Ann Corbin Hartle will be remembered not only for her devotion to education but also for her vibrant personality and deep love for her family. Her legacy will continue to shine through the lives of all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
