Naomi Kathryn Jones

Asheville - Naomi Kathryn Hege Jones, 82, of 104 Village Creek Drive, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center following an extended illness. A native of Washington County, MD, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1995. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker, and attended Asheville Wesleyan Church and First Church of God. She was the daughter of the late J. Aaron and Bessie Viola Eshelman Hege, and the widow of Edwin Kenneth Jones, Sr. who passed away December 15, 1997. Mrs. Jones was also preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Kathryn Robitaille and a granddaughter, Naomi Jones. Surviving are her daughter, Karen Angela King of Asheville; sons: Edwin Kenneth Jones, Jr. of Asheboro, NC, Terry Lee Jones, and Gerald Dennis Jones of Waxhaw, NC; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, and 2 brothers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown, MD at a later date.
