Mattie Mcfalls

Asheville Mattie Harris McFalls, 98 of Riverside Drive, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Brian Center of Weaverville. A native of Duenweg, Missouri, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1923. She was a devoted mother, homemaker and Nanny and attended Victory Baptist Church. Mrs. McFalls was a daughter of the late Benjamin Moses Harris and Delena Bell Lucas Harris and wife of Raymond Newton McFalls who died in 1968. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Ramona McFalls; son-in-law, James H. Stewart; two sisters and five brothers. Surviving are her daughter, Wilma Jean Stewart and son, Robert David McFalls and wife Brenda all of Asheville; sister, Merle Smith of Dowell, MD; grandchildren, Kellie Dillingham and husband Leonard, Aimee Stewart and David McFalls and wife Brooke; great granddaughters, Allison and Ashley and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Elk Mountain Cemetery with Rev. Mark Chase officiating.
