Asheville Mary Sue DeViney Honeycutt, 75, of 17 Tradewind Drive went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Rutherford County, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1975. She retired from Beacon Mfg Company following 22 years of service and was formerly employed with Youngs of Asheville. She was a 1954 graduate of Sunshine High School. Mrs. Honeycutt was a daughter of the late John and Falder DeViney. She was also preceded in death by her husband with whom she was married for 52 years, Paul Honeycutt, who died January 14, 2006 and brothers, Clyde, Floyd and James DeViney. Surviving are her sons, Paul Ray Honeycutt and wife Sandra of Leicester and Ronnie Honeycutt and wife Diane of Asheville; daughters, Linda Harris and husband Junior and his sister Ginger and Sandra Tomberlin and husband Jeff all of Asheville; grandchildren, Michelle Harding and husband Jason, Crystal Honeycutt, Johnny Honeycutt and Joshua Tomberlin and fiancee Nikki Thomas; great grandson, Levi Harding; sister, Alma McGinnis and husband Henry of Ellenboro; brother, Paul DeViney of Ellenboro; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin D. Mathis and Jeff Tomberlin officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David McGinnis, Junior McGinnis, Henry McGinnis, Jason Harding, Josh Tomberlin and Johnny Honeycutt. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
