Marjorie A. Maina

Candler Marjorie Adele Russell Maina, 92, of Brierfield Drive, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Port Chester, NY, she had resided in Western North Carolina since 1999 and was of the Episcopal faith. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother. Mrs. Maina was a daughter of the late Robin Gillman Russell and Ruth Olive Stoddard Russell and the wife of Angelo Edmund Maina who died February 19, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her son, Joseph Maina; brother, Gillman Robin Russell and sister, Shirley Malloy. Surviving are her children, Gail Ling of Eustis, FL, Edmond Maina of Boca Raton, FL, Elise Levy of Taveras, FL and Cheryl Carballosa of Centreville, VA and Kim Maina of Candler; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 4, 2017 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Stillwell, CarePartners Hospice Chaplain, officiating.
