Leicester Louise Elizabeth Tabor Digges, 84, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Aston Park Health Care Center. A native of Swain County, Ms. Digges had resided in Buncombe County since 1948. She worked as a secretary with WESCO Trailer. Ms. Digges was the daughter of the late George Henry and Vergie Elizabeth Allen Tabor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel C. Digges; daughter, Marion Kay Digges; son, Robert Digges; and four sisters: Edith Gilbert, Jessie Stewart, Alma Riddle, and Esther Wiggins. Surviving are her sons: Jerry Digges and wife Micki, and Butch Digges and wife Monica; daughters: Sandy Boyer and husband Joe, Belinda Shelton and husband Charlie, and Patricia Maple and husband Jim; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Tabor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Pisgah View Memorial Park, with the Rev. Steve Oxner and Randy Redden officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Asheville Humane Society, 16 Forever Friends Lane, Asheville, NC 28806.
