Linda Edwards Jennings, born on June 7, 1938, in Tryon, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on September 8, 2025, at Emerald Ridge Health and Rehabilitation. A devoted homemaker throughout her life, Linda exemplified the values of care and love within her family and community. Having spent most of her life in the Biltmore Community of Asheville, she cultivated deep roots that enriched her relationships and surroundings.
Linda cherished her family and friends dearly, often embracing moments filled with laughter and love. She had a talent for bringing joy to others, finding pleasure in coloring for friends and family, reading, and spending quality time with those she adored. Her warmth and kindness created a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Linda is survived by her beloved son, Tony Jennings and his wife Martina, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Dakota King, Sarah Potts, Brooke Ward and her husband Tyler, Dawson Jennings, Desaree Jennings, Tristan Jennings, and Tanner Jennings. She took immense pride in her great-grandchildren, Eric Potts, William Potts, Aliyah Ward, and Adrian Ward. Additionally, she is fondly remembered by her niece, Mindy Bowers, and her husband Dean.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Federick Jennings, who departed this world on July 4, 2011, and her daughter, Teena Belinda Jennings. She is also reunited with her parents, Elias Carl Edwards and Mabel Jaye Barber Edwards, as well as her brother, Charles Edwards and his wife Margaret.
A memorial service to honor Linda's life will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, North Carolina. The service will begin at 12:00 PM.
Linda Edwards Jennings will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her love for her family, and the vibrant light she brought into the lives of many. Her legacy will continue through the cherished memories and love left behind.
