Leila Reese

Flat Rock Sadie Leila Reese, 82, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House. A native and long time resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Reese was the daughter of the late Andrew Cecil and Mary Cannon Hughes, and the wife of the late Harold Woodrow Reese. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Williams, and brother, J.C. Hughes. Surviving are her daughters: Sadie Clark (L.V.), Ann Stuart (Donnie), Debbie Reese, and Amy Reese; sons: Harold Reese, Allan Reese (Angie), and Dale Reese (Robin); 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great, great-grandchildren; sisters: Hollie Morris, Emily Clark, Martha Smart, and Barbara Sams; brothers: Tom Hughes (Mary), Theodore Hughes and George Hughes; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery on Ben Lippen Road. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the Reese family.
