Lauren Bethany Berryman

Lauren Bethany Berryman was born on January 15, 2009, in Jacksonville, Florida. She left this world too soon on June 21, 2025, in Candler, North Carolina. Lauren's life, though brief, was filled with impactful moments that touched the hearts of those around her.

As a devoted friend, Lauren was known for her kindness, generosity, and humor. Her vibrant spirit shone brightly throughout her educational journey as a student at the Martin L. Nesbitt Discovery Academy where she excelled academically. Lauren discovered her lifelong passion for soccer at a very young age, and her dedication to the sport led her to become a certified soccer referee, showcasing her love for the game and her commitment to fostering its spirit among her peers.

In addition to her athletic talents, Lauren was a member of the wrestling team and took great joy in being a musician, contributing her skills as a player in the school band. Her diverse accomplishments reflect her multifaceted personality and unwavering determination.

Lauren is survived by her loving parents, Bryan Patrick Berryman and Karen Ann Berryman. She also leaves behind her paternal grandparents, John and Sandra Berryman, and maternal grandparents, Wanda D. Clark and her husband Bruce, as well as Alfred W. Merriam and his wife Charlotte. Among her beloved family are her uncles, Chris Berryman and his wife Melissa, along with Alfred Merriam.

Though Lauren's time with us was far too short, her legacy of friendship, passion, and kindness will continue to resonate with all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends.

A service to celebrate Lauren’s life will be held at a later date.
