June Fisher

Asheville - Patty June Franklin Fisher, 70, of 139 Cowan Cove Road passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. Mrs. Fisher was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and the daughter of the late James Howard and Helen Louise Greene Franklin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Frank Fisher who died April 30, 2006 and sisters, Marsha Nileen Franklin and Mary Anne Franklin Pike. She retired from American Enka Corp. as a Quality Control Technician following 32 years of service and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Surviving is her daughter, Joie Gilstrap of Asheville. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Monday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Brett Pike, Darryl Pike, Derrick Pike, Pete Korkmaz, Carroll Dean Rice and Willie Smith. Anders-Rice Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
