Joanne Benson King

Leicester Joanne Benson King, 69, of 79 Solomon Road, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House. A native of Buncombe County, Mrs. King was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Ruby Rector Benson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Furman Leon King, who passed away June 11, 2008. Surviving are her sons: Roger Leon King of Hendersonville, Thomas Earl King of Marietta, GA, and Brian Stephen King of Leicester; sisters: Linda Head and Pat Benson; and three grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Thursday at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Joel Burton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House, 581 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
