Jeanette Lee Roberts

Jeanette Lee Roberts, 77 of Asheville, joined her beloved husband, Richard Lee Roberts, on April 29, 2025. They were married for 59 years. When asked what she did in life, one would say she was Richard’s wife. Her greatest accomplishment in life would have been to be the greatest wife, mother, nana, daughter, and sister.

She was also preceded in death by Virgie Johnson, her mother, and Floyd and Bertha Cummings, her maternal grandparents.

Left to cherish her life are her daughter, Bethnia Roberts-Whitener and husband Robert; her son, Jeryl Roberts and wife Tonya; three grandchildren: Tifani Roberts, Trenten Roberts and wife Kimberly, and Blaine Roberts; three great-grandchildren: Aubree Roberts, Jaquelyn Roberts, and Meredith Roberts; her sister, Pat Ward and husband Henry; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 7 PM on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Riverside Baptist Church, 871 Rriverside Drive, Asheville, NC 28804, with Pastor Jason Owens officiating. The family is coordinating the service.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 PM on Tuesday prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Bethany Christian Services, Foster Care at bethany.org.
