Helen Parker

Asheville - Helen Elizabeth Parker, 82, passed away Wednesday September 22, 2010 at Courtyard Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late William Clarence and Adeline Creasman Capps and the wife of the late Carroll Grady Parker. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers. Surviving are her children, Ruby Ward of Asheville, David Parker and wife Sherry of Swannanoa, Linda Mathis of Candler, Michael Parker and wife Mary of Candler, Stevie Parker and wife Patricia of Asheville and Randy Parker of Candler; sister, Betty Howell of Asheville; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Rash officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Friday at the funeral home.
