Gus Mccurry

Asheville - Gus Edward McCurry, 55, of 6 Eva Circle died Wednesday - January 16, 2008 at his home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a son of the late Betty Louise Smith McCurry and the step son of Bud Gaddy of Asheville. Surviving in addition to his step father are his wife, Freda McCurry of the home; daughter, Stephanie Michele McCurry and companion, Gary Ball; son, Michael Travis McCurry and companion, Brea McAlister; grandson, Cody Lee McCurry; sister, Rita Wright and companion, Chris Lunsford; brother, Danny McCurry and companion, Joyce Peek; nieces, Tammy and Jessica, nephews, Randy and Heath, 4 great nieces and special family member, Tallie Carter all of Asheville. Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Brockwell officiating. The family will receive following memorial services at the funeral home.
