George E. Bishop

Asheville - George Earnest Bishop, 92, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. A native of Asheville, he had resided in California for 25 years before moving back to Asheville. He was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 22 years in California, attended the Salvation Army Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Bishop was the son of the late Heath and Annie Buckner Bishop. He is survived by Nancy Murray, Carolyn Nantelle, Yvonne Conner and numerous other cousins and his nursing home family and friends at Pisgah Manor.
