Ethel H. Singleton

Asheville Ethel Eugene Haney Singleton, 90, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2018. Mrs. Singleton was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and retired in 1992 from Sears following 25 years of service. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Arthur Haney and Adeline Bugg Haney and the wife of Tuel Duco Singleton who died in November 1969. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Lee Israel, sons, Tuel Duco Singleton, Jr. and Clifford Leo Singleton, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Surviving are her 7 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Prettyman officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45AM Thursday at the funeral home.
