David Weatherly

David Weatherly, 61, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Kingsport, TN, he had resided in Buncombe County for the past 25 years and was a member of Woodland Terrace Baptist Church. Mr. Weatherly was the son of Lois Smallwood and the late Clarence Dewitt Weatherly. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 36 years, Deanna Lee Perry Weatherly and sister, Debbie Weatherly. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 3 years, Patricia Robinson Weatherly of the home; daughters, Karen Pressley and husband Terry Pressley, Jr. of Asheville and Andrea Green and husband Cliff of Fletcher; grandchildren, Tyler Swann, Cole Pressley and Blain Roy Green; step children, Michael Robinson and Shelia Craig both of Asheville; sister, Rita Morelock and brothers, Larry, Bobby, Ronnie and Scotty Weatherly all of Kingsport, TN. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ernest Gibson and Rev. Dr. Phil Dillingham officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Black Mountain. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
