Dale Murray Wood

Dale Murray Wood, 77, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Misson Hospital.

A native of North Kingston, RI, he lived most of his life in Orange County, Florida where he worked for the Orange County Convention Center for 27 years until his retirement as the Building Service Supervisor. The past 8 years, Dale and his family have resided in Franklin, NC.

He was the son of the late Murray Dale Wood and Florence Emily Dickinson Wood. He was also preceded in death by brother-in-law, Dennis Collins.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Megan Patrease Lunsford Wood; children: Jason William Wood and wife Ashley, Kimberly Wood Burke and husband Michael, and Dan Behnke; grandchildren: Makayla Marie Burke, Rylee Ann Burke, Raven Plummer, Aiden McClean Wood, Amethyst Wood, and Temperance Wood; siblings: Diane Collins, and Don Wood and wife Cory; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

No services are planned at this time.
