Asheville - Clara Massey Nanny Dover, 76, of 525 Macedonia Rd., went home to be with her Lord Sunday, November 12, 2006 after an extended illness. A native of Buncombe County, Clara was the daughter of the late Joseph H. Massey and Cora Revis Massey. She was also preceded in death by her brothers; Clyde Dover, Lloyd Dover, Joseph Dover and A. Dee Massey; and sister, Luella Dyer. Clara was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church for 36 years. Surviving are her very special husband of 60 years, Wayne V. Dover, who loved and cared for her endlessly. She was also survived by her best friend and sister, Elizabeth Sis Hensley of Weaverville; three sons: Vernon Dover and wife Cheryl of Leicester, J.L. Dover and wife Melinda and Sam Dover and wife Darleen, all of Asheville; six grandchildren: Lynette Sizemore, Bryan Dover and wife Vickie, Scott Dover and wife Michelle, Shannon Ratcliff and husband Eddie, Jennifer Smith and husband Tommy and Eric Dover. Lastly,survived by her pride and joy, her 10 Great-Grandchildren;Courtney, Madelyn, Colton, Rebekah, Austin, Aaron, Sawyer, Coleman, Justin and Shelby. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Don Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice Nurse, Becky Gilbert for her great care through this time and also the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center of Asheville.
