Charles Wesley Smith

Charles Wesley Smith, 47, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025, at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he deeply loved his mom and his family. Charles was passionate about life and would pour himself fully into everything he cared about.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Scottie Smith; and grandparents, Peggy and Charles Lee.

Surviving are his parents: Daisy Earlene Smith and Michael James Watford; sister, Cheyanne Mayrand (Nathan); wife, Tina Angel Montiel; children: Tristan Angel, and Charity Faith Smith; stepchildren: Chris Angel, Saul Montiel, Jose Montiel, and Montana Montiel; step grandchildren: Greycen Angel, Zayian Lawrence, and Zyrin Lawrence; nephew, Wesley Smith; and many extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 31, 2025, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Tim Warren officiating.

The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home.
