Charles Owenby

Fairview Charles Dennis Owenby, 75, of 11 Maryfield Road, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at his home. Mr. Owenby was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and a Painting Contractor and was a son of the late Rev. Boyd Cooper Owenby and Irene Rebecca Howard Owenby. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Owenby. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Brenda Joy Sales Owenby of the home; daughter, Diana Owenby Wyatt and husband Dwight of Fairview; son, Vincent Allen Owenby and wife Verlyn of Fletcher; grandchildren, Nathan Wyatt and wife Abby, Amber Taylor and husband Joseph, Bethany Owenby and Justin Owenby and several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. Memorial services will be held at 5 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Burrell officiating.
