Bobbie Doris Green McLean, a loving family matriarch, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the age of 95 in Waycross, Georgia. Born on December 17, 1929, in Buncombe County, she was a lifelong resident of the area, known for her commitment to her family.

For over 35 years, Bobbie worked at Burlington Industries, where she eventually retired as a trainer. Her career not only showcased her dedication but also her ability to foster knowledge and skill in others. She took pride in being a guiding light to many during her professional journey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Green and Bonnie Marie Carter Green Crowder; and by her siblings: Mae Long, Lawrence Green, Easter Plemmons, Betty Powers, Charles Green, Margaret Lloyd, Mary Ruth Becker, Ann Garrett, Robert Green,, Johnnie Parker, and an infant sister.

Bobbie was a cherished member of her family, known for her deep love and unwavering support. She was particularly close to her siblings, as well as her aunts and uncles, creating a bond that resonated throughout the years. This love extended to her daughters, Dianna Weideman (Jim) and Joan Clark (Kim), who carry on her legacy of kindness and compassion.

Her family expanded beautifully with the arrival of her grandchildren: Tracy Clark, Chad Clark (Heather), Tiree Carter (Kyle), Cori Barclift (Kevin), and Andrew Clark (Casey). Bobbie was also blessed with 17 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, each holding a special place in her heart. Additionally, she leaves behind her sisters, Ellen Pike and Martha Cooper, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, who will fondly remember her warm spirit and caring nature.

As a member of the Riverview Baptist Church and attendee at West Asheville Baptist Church, Bobbie's faith was a cornerstone of her life, offering her strength and community throughout her years.

The memory of Bobbie Doris Green McLean will be honored at the Anders-Rice Funeral Home in Asheville, North Carolina. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, followed by a funeral service starting at 12:00 PM. Her grandson-in-law, Rev. Kevin Barclift  will officiate her service. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Chad Clark, Klye Carter, Luke Carter, Clark Carter, Hagen Newton, and Grayson Clark.

In remembrance of a life beautifully lived, Bobbie will be celebrated for her loving spirit that touched all who knew her. She will be missed dearly but remembered with much love and admiration.
