Betty Jean Pierce

Asheville Betty Jean Fore Pierce, 87, went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 26, 2017 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Buncombe County, she had served over 30 years as an accountant for the US Government in Washington, DC. Mrs. Pierce was a daughter of the late Arthur Fore and Lavinia Gregory Fore and natural mother, the late Bessie Bowling Gregory. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Walker and brothers, Frank Gregory, Jack Lyles and Paul Gregory. Surviving are the love of her life, her dog Sandy; sisters, Gladys McClanahan, Juanita Crain, Rhoda Smith and Hope Bridges; brothers, Tommy Gregory and James Gregory and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Mark Lewis officiating.
