Barbara Jean Knight-Yeary

Barbara Jean Knight-Yeary, 56, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at her residence following an extended battle with cancer. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Harold David and Eula Jean Jones Knight. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Donna Knight. She was a member of Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church since 2001. Surviving are her husband, Conrad Yeary; children: Christopher Knight, Kendra Weber and husband Curtis, Scott Knight, and Hollie Knight all of Asheville; step-daughter, Renee Yeary and husband Anthony Sturgis of Asheville; sisters: Shirley Knight and Suzzie Darling both of Asheville; brother, David Knight and wife Tammy Papp of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren: Tantyona, Gary, Ravien, Shilah, Anthony, Jazzmond, Coriana, Little Curtis, Brianna, and Rashaid; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 486 Caribou Road, Asheville, with Pastor Spencer E. Hardaway officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 PM on Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
