Arnold Lee Roland

Asheville - Arnold Lee Roland, 65, of 707 Starnes Cove Road, passed away Tuesday July 3, 2007 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Yancey County, he resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He retired from Johnnys Mobile Home Sales & Service after 40 years of service. He was a son of the late John Roland and Thelma Mae Ray Honeycutt. Surviving are his daughter, Renee Fisher of Asheville; step sons, David Godwin and wife Donna and Mike Godwin and wife Diane all of Candler; step daughter, Ann French of Cranberry, PA; companion, Ann Hurst of the home; step father, Roy Honeycutt of Asheville; half brother, Lattie Honeycutt and wife Deana of Asheville; best friend, Johnny Conard of Asheville; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Rice officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Johnny Conard and his family for their love, support and friendship given to our Dad over the many years.
