Arlene Medford Allison

Arlen Medfod Allison went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Mission Hospital.

A native of Haywood County, she resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Pearl Ira Medford Radford and wife of the late Robert Kenneth Allison who passed away on September 17, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Hayman; and sister, Angelia "Ann" Kathryn Hayman.

Mrs. Allison retired from the Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Center following 19 years of service. She was a longtime member of Biltmore Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Rickey David Plemmons, and Vickey “Lady Bug” Buckner and husband Jack; granddaughter, Tabatha Buckner; brother, Harry Ray Hayman; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 till 1:45 PM on Thursday prior to the service.
