UNION MILLS - After a courageous 10-year journey with breast cancer, Allie was called home by the Lord on July 27, 2025, from her beloved cabin in the beautiful mountains of Union Mills, NC. Allie spent the past 16 years surrounded by nature and animals she so dearly loved.
Born May 20, 1981 to John and Shirley Warfel of Millersville, PA. Allie was on the move from an early age. She excelled in anything with wheels and broke high school cross country and track records.
Her passionate, determined athleticism won her 17 national titles in cycling, joining both the U.S. Road and Mountain Bike Teams to Worlds in Italy and Sweden and earning her a residency at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in CO in 2000. Allie later changed gears participating in the WERA Motorcycle Road Racing circuit with seven podium finishes, two national trophies, and became the fourth fastest woman in her first year of racing. This was all earned in the men’s open division in the most competitive race class; men’s super-bike and super-stock!
Allie owned and operated Biltmore Massage and Bodyworks in Asheville, and Stasi in Black Mountain. She was a gifted instructor in posture, body-mechanics, and weight lifting. Her clients regarded her as the best body-work specialist in the Asheville area.
Allie Warfel was a force of nature and always lived her life to its fullest. She strove to do her very best in everything she did. She was a kind, caring, and dear friend; one of those few people you could count to be there to help you any place, anywhere, at any time.
Allie cared deeply and had compassion for others from all walks of life. She embodied overcoming the odds and empowering people to succeed in living their dreams. Allie’s life reminds us to “Seize the day!” Her unforgettable smile, bright blue eyes, and fun-loving spirit will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Allie is survived by her wife, Angela Watmore; step children, Georgia and Brody Kirik; sisters, April (Darin) Horst and Ashley (Kevin) Shenk; niece and nephew, Grace and Wyatt Horst; and countless faithful friends.
A Celebration of Allie’s life will be held at Highland Brewing on Saturday, 12 Old Charlotte Hwy, Asheville, NC on November 1, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Allie’s memory to a cause dear to her heart, Mennonite Disaster Service, 583 Airport Rd., Lititz, PA 17543 or mds.org and designated “NC cleanup from Hurricane Helene”.
Anders-Rice Funeral Home and Cremation Center is honored to serve Alison's family.
