Addie Lee Blankenship

CANDLER - Addie Lee Hughes Blankenship, 87, passed away December 17, 2006 at the Pisgah Manor Health Care Center following an extended illness. A native of Burnsville, she has resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. Mrs. Blankenship was a daughter of the late Avery and Mallie Chrisawn Hughes and the wife of the late Gilbert Gill Blankenship. She was also preceded in death by two children, Sandra Jane Radford and Harold Blankenship. Surviving are her daughter, Sylvia Corn and husband, Everette of Arden; five sisters; seven grandchildren & five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Hipps officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M.
