Wade B. Skelton

Fletcher Wade Buren Skelton, 94, of 446 Concord Road, passed Sunday, March 2, 2014. A native of Hartwell, GA, he had resided in Buncombe County since 1949. Mr. Skelton was a WW II Veteran having served in the US Army and was a retired Chicken Farmer. He was the son of the late Elbert and Minnie Scott Skelton and the husband of the late Helen Littrell Skelton who died September 3, 2001. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Dale and Melinda McCoy with whom was his caregivers. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in the chapel of the Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Rolf Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery with Military Honors to be conducted by the NC National Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
