Shaunna Chon Blood Melander fulfilled her lifes journey on January 9, 2018 held lovingly by her family. Shaunna was born July 8, 1978 in Suwon, Korea to Jake and Yonoke Blood. She grew up with her family which added a sister, Andrea, in 1984, as they traveled from military assignment to assignment across the breadth of the United States from Tacoma, Washington, to Dayton, Ohio to Washington, DC. Shaunna always yearned to be a free spirit and was always searching for her soulmate. She embarked on her own lifes journey in 1997 as she joined her first love, Thomas Shevlin in Tacoma, Washington where they gave birth to Sebastian Jacob Shevlin. Growing, learning and always searching for someone to share her passion for life, she rejoined her family in Northern Virginia and found love and compassion with Art Price, giving birth to her daughter Kassity Gean Price in 2003. Hard-headed and determined to find her soulmate, Shaunna finally found her true love for life with Mark Melander whom she married in 2013. Mark and Shaunna enjoyed a love for life and joy in family. During her journey, Shaunna found so many friends who thrived on her zest for life and engaging personality. All who knew her will miss and cherish her memory and we will all continue in our love for ShaunnaShine. Shaunna wished to be cremated and her ashes spread in the ocean from the beach and we will honor her wishes.
