ASHEVILLE Sara Julia McCrary Clark, 66, of 16 Ben Lippen Rd. passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center following a period of declining health. Mrs. Clark was a lifelong resident of Asheville and a daughter of the late Joseph Walter and Sadie Earlene Blackwell McCrary. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bill McCrary and father-in-law, Hugh Clark. She Retired from Merrill Lynch following 35 years of service and was a member of Alexander Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Kenneth Hugh Clark of the home; sons, Kevin Hugh Clark of Asheville and Kenyon Heath Clark and his wife Molly of High Point; granddaughter, Lydia Frances Clark of High Point; sisters, Agnes Kirby and husband, Ralph of Etowah and Nora Murray and husband, Joel of Asheville; mother-in-law, Velda Clark of Asheville and a niece and three nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Sprinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her two sons, Kevin and Kenyon Clark and David Brown, Johnny Roberts, Rick Jenkins and Randy Hunter. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
