Roy Aubrey "Buster" Deweese Jr.

Weaverville Roy Aubrey Buster Deweese, Jr., 63, of 89 McCurry Road, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at his residence. A native of Buncombe County, he was a vendor for the NC Association for the Blind. He was the son of the late Roy Aubrey Deweese, Sr. and Versa Harwood Deweese and was also preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Deweese. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Hendley Deweese of the home; daughters, Susan Coates Rice of Weaverville, Jane Coates of Asheville and Mr. Deweeses son-in-law, Michael Erwin of Weaverville and Trivia Hefner and husband, Patrick of Weaverville; grandchildren, Laythe Riddle of Weaverville and James Erwin of Asheville; sisters, Betty Sprouse, Jean Ward and Margaret Barfield; brother, Richard A. Deweese; aunts, Pauline Harwood, Montaen Harwood and Juanita Wright. A memorial will be held at 4 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Leak officiating. The family will receive friends following services at the funeral home. A special thanks to Jennifer Hopper, Schelle and Mountain Area Hospice for the excellent care given during this time.
