Roberta Marian Edsall

Asheville - Resolute in her faith until the end, Robbie Marian Edsall, 57, lost her courageous battle with cancer on January 2, 2008. A memorial service will be held at New Life Community Church at 2 pm on Monday, January 7th. Born on November 13, 1950 in Newark, NJ, to Robert Freiwald and the late Emma Miller, she moved with her family to the Sandy Mush community in August 1998, and was most recently employed by the Asheville Board of Realtors as the Board Coordinator. Always full of life, Robbie was a passionate worshipper of Christ, a dedicated homemaker, a doting mother and wife, had a tremendous green thumb, played a mean game of hand-and-foot, and cherished her horses and other animals. She is survived by her husband Mark Edsall, her daughter Emilie Tate and her husband Robert, her brother Cliff Freiwald of Indianapolis, IN, and her sister Barbara Conklin of San Antonio, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Mark Edsall, 78 Hendl Way, Leicester, NC 28748 or New Life Community Church, 1417 Riverside Dr. Asheville, NC 28804, with the proceeds to be donated to Compassion International.
