Asheville Pearl Dockery Jenkins, 94, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Madison County, she lived most of her life in Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late Richard Enoch and Dorothy Jane Reed Dockery. She was formerly employed with Gerber and C.P. Claire and was a charter member of Sweeten Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Jenkins was the wife of Paul James Jenkins who died May 6, 2000. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Surviving are her son, Henry A. Jenkins and wife Joyce of Fletcher; daughters, Nancy K. Woods and husband Bill of Fletcher, Janis M. Seiler and husband Larry of Inman, SC, Barbara P. Surrett of Nebo, Mary L. Austin and Linda Kay Jenkins both of Asheville and Sharon J. Tyndall and husband Richard of Georgetown, SC; 19 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 29, 2012 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Nathaniel Drake, Rev. Pete Winstead and Rev. Jeff Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to: CarePartners Hospice, P.O.
