Pauline Ellege

Asheville Pauline Mildred Parker Ellege, 85, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Aston Park Health Care Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired in 1994 from WNC Baptist Home following 16 years of service and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. Ellege was a daughter of the late Paul Bridget and Elizabeth Eline Austin Parker Kilby and wife of Oliver Dewey Ellege who died May 7, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Dewey Ellege who died April 10, 2015 and brother, J.B. Parker. Surviving are her sons, Wendell Paul Ellege (Jacqueline) of Monroe, VA and Edwin Eugene Ellege (Brenda) of Asheville; 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and sister, Doris Pressley of Averys Creek and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Jacob Ellege (grandson), Rev. Chad Ellege (grandson), Rev. Allen Rash and Rev. Donnie Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Western Chapel UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
