Nora Lamb

Nora Marie Lamb, 85, passed away Sunday, February, 13, 2011 at Brooks-Howell Home. She was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Noah and Leona Creasman Rice Clark. She was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Bud Lamb, step-father, Andrew Clark, sisters, Dorothy Burrell, Mabel Hylton and Magdaline Caldwell, brothers, Charlie and Calvin Rice. Surviving are her daughter; Barbara Lamb Davis, (Tony), son, Charles Calvin Lamb and wife Shirley, son, Rick Vance Lamb, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a great granddaughter due in July 2011, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 2 PM in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Butch Oxner, Ken Larsen, Keith Kiser, Richard Erwin and Bob Evans. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
