Morris Allen Austin

Asheville Morris Allen Austin, 65, of 4 Kilkenny Drive, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Austin was an expert woodworker, and a veteran of the US Army. He was the son of the late Pascal Jeff and Bertha Robinson Austin. He was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Mary Jenkins Austin; son, Morris Keith Austin of Asheville; daughters: Kelly Perkins and husband Steve and Teresa Hardin and husband Joel, all of Asheville; grandchildren: Nathan, Nicholas, and Tyler Hardin and Sarah and Aaron Perkins; sisters: Wilma Dillingham of Lexington, NC and Linda Waldrop of Asheville; brothers: Kenneth Austin of Federal Way, WA, Larry Austin of Hendersonville, Jerry Austin, and David Austin, both of Asheville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3 PM Sunday at Sweeten Creek Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Stroupe officiating.
