Maxine Evelyn Cook

Simpsonville, SC Maxine Evelyn Fox Cook, 89, passed away Friday, March 27, 2009 at her home. A native of Eagle Grove, IA, she had resided in Simpsonville since 1972. She was the daughter of the late Carl Fox, who founded the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, IA, and the late Emma Gertrude Emerick Fox. She was also preceded in death by James Edward Cook, her husband of 41 years. Surviving are her daughter, Dian L. Bebber and husband Don of Vero Beach, FL; and two grandchildren: Kim L. Westerberg of Atlanta, GA and Chad J. Westerberg and wife Stacey of Woodstock, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home in Asheville, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Clear Lake, IA at a later date.
