Mary Robinson Lang

MADISON, FL Mary Robinson Lang, a native of Asheville and a longtime resident of Madison County, FL, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2007. Mrs. Lang was the daughter of the late Lewis and Dora Robinson and the wife of 44 years to William Bill B. Lang who died in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Carroll Robinson and was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Asheville. She was a native and resident of Asheville until moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1950 to work for the Navy as a Civil Service employee. In 1974 she and her husband Bill moved to Greenville, FL where they farmed and raised cattle for many years. Surviving are her nieces, Lois Pugh of Columbia, SC and Kay McCraw of Highpoint; nephew, Carroll Joe Robinson of Wilmington and many good friends. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Friday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Monticello Christian Academy, 1590 N. Jefferson Street, Monticello, FL 32344. Anders-Rice Funeral Home, 1428 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806 is in charge of arrangements.
