Mary Rice Williams

Asheville Mary Rice Williams, 75, of Asheville, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. Born in Buncombe County, Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Leta Rice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Williams; three sisters, and one brother. Surviving are her daughter, Kathy Williams; several nieces and nephews, including Becky, Debbie, Mary, Jerry, and Timmy, of whom she helped raise; grandchildren: Katie, Leticia, and Paco; her adopted grandchildren: Stephanie, Matthew, Michael, and Joseph; and brother, Norman Rice (Pam). Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Oxner officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 3:45 PM Sunday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of the John F.
