Mary Lee Sparks

Asheville - Mary Lee Sparks, 49, of 39 Ridgeway Drive went to be with her Lord on January 1, 2006. A native of Clovis, NM she had resided in Buncombe County most of her Life. She was a graduate of Owen High School and Berea College and received her AAS in Nursing from AB Tech. She formerly worked with the Buncombe County Health Dept. as an LPN and was a member of Malvern Hills Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles O. Sparks. Surviving are her daughters, Virginia Sparks and Sidney Massie both of Asheville; sister, Bonnie Sparks of Oak Ridge, TN and her loving aunt, Virginia Turner of Asheville who she considered as her mother. She will truly be missed by all her family and friends. All who knew her loved her. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Tilley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
